Three Taverns was a real place 2,000 years ago on the Appian Way outside of Rome where Paul first gathered with Roman Christians and taught about Jesus (Acts 28:15). It was a place where weary travelers in the ancient world found rest, community, and conversation around food and drink at the table.
Every Wednesday we revive the legacy of Three Taverns creating a place in Mound for stimulating discussion, teaching on timely topics, and soul refreshment in the company of friends. Jeremy provides teaching on a wide variety topics related to the Bible, history, theology, and cultural issues.
Jesus tells us to "Love God will all our heart, soul, mind and strength" (Mark 12:30). If sermons are aimed primarily at the heart, Huddles and LifeCourses at the soul, and serving others requires our strength, Three Taverns is a weekly invitation to love God by exercising and sharpening our minds together!
Join us every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. The 1st Wednesday is Agape --- a monthly gathering at the Table to share the eucharist and a teaching.
